Problems of Teachers' Profesional Ethics' in the Context of Early Childhood Education in the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with the issues of teachers' professional ethics and maps the problems and complexities of the ethical dimension of pedagogical work. The first specific objective is to explore the moral value orientation of teachers and preschools in which they operate. The second specific objective is to describe the ethical dilemmas they encounter and their strategies for resolution. This description is supplemented by the author's perspective. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and an empirical part. In the theoretical part, basic concepts and theories related to ethics, philosophy of education, pedagogy, psychology, and sociology are explained. The first section describes the fundamental approaches to ethics and the philosophical view of the essence of education. It also outlines the issues of ethical codes. The second section focuses on educational processes and their factors. Emphasis is placed on the role of the educator in these processes and their competencies. It also describes the specifics of preschool-aged children and the role of the family and the broader social environment in their socialization. Thank Goodness we all are different! The Issue of Diversity in Preschool Education

This thesis focuses on teaching tolerance at the early childhood educational level, with a special attention to storytelling. The theoretical part presents basic sociological and psychological theories of otherness, prejudices and their dismantling. It accentuates the importance of a personal experience for reducing prejudice and features a story as a pedagogical tool, which can mediate imagined experience. The practical part brings three stories that aim to encourage tolerance among preschoolers and are written as a methodological support materials for early childhood educators. Additionally, the thesis also reflects the evaluations from five kindergarten teachers, who worked with the stories in their classes.

Adaptation of two year old children in homogeneous and heterogeneous classes

The bachelor thesis is focused on the specifics of adaptation of two-year-old children in age homogeneous and heterogeneous classes in state kindergartens. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to find out how the adaptation of two-year-old children takes place in homogeneous and heterogeneous classrooms. The theoretical part dealt with the skills of the two-year-old child based on developmental psychology. It focused in detail on the child's socialization with family and peers. It also looked in more detail at the two-year-old child in preschool, his adaptation in age homogeneous and heterogeneous groups, identifying some benefits and risks in both types of classroom. The content of the practical part is an evaluation of the adaptation of two-year-old children in the homogeneous and heterogeneous group, which was collected through qualitative research. The interview highlighted the teachers' experiences of two-year-olds' adaptation in both age-mixed and homogeneous classrooms. As a result, the study compared the teachers views on adaptation in different age groups.

The Gender Construction of the Role of Male Teachers in Kindergarten from the Perspective of Pedagogical Professionals

The thesis The Gender Construction of the Role of Male Teachers in Kindergarten from the Perspective of Pedagogical Professionals deals with gender construction of the role of male teachers in kindergartens, from the perspective of the male teachers themselves and from the perspective of female teachers and female directors who teach with male teachers in kindergartens. For this purpose I conducted nonparticipant observation, which was complemented by semistructured interviews. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical part. Theoretical part deals with fundamental concepts which are related to the research question and empirical part consists of methodical procedures and analysis of interviews with male teachers, female teachers and female directors as well as analysis of fieldnotes from nonparticipant observation. Christian education in pre-primary education in the Kingdom of Spain

The aim of this diploma thesis was to investigate the position of Christian education in preschool education in Spain and how it is practically applied in preschool facilities. Theoretical part deals with Spanish education system, education of religion in European context, educational legislation with an emphasis on religion and its connection with Spanish state, the specifics of teaching of religion and teacher qualification requirements. The practical part aimed to translate and analyse the content of the Curriculum for the religious area and catholic morality in preschool education. This analysis found out that teaching of religion is a unique way to naturally connect several different educational areas. The second part of the research consisted of case studies of four preschools, two catholic and two public. The characteristics of the visited schools, observations of lessons of religion and three teaching materials were analysed and compared. There were observable similarities and differences between visited catholic and public schools, for example in the way the school presented itself or in the ratio of the number of students attending Religion lessons to Ethics lessons. Possible bariers related to common education in kindergartens

Tato práce se zabývá tématem společného vzdělávání v předškolním vzdělávání. Hlavním cílem práce je odhalit možné bariéry společného vzdělávání a posoudit, zda jsou mateřské školy schopny přijímat žáky se speciálními potřebami a splnit tak zásady společného vzdělávání. Práce je rozdělena do teoretické a praktické časti. Teoretická část zahrnuje vývoj terminologie společného vzdělávání, ukázku vzdělávacích programů a podpůrných opatření, popisuje dítě se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a dítě mimořádně nadané, význam předškolního vzdělávání, školní prostředí a profesi pedagoga, dále bariéry společného vzdělávání v mateřských školách a pojem šikany. Praktická část obsahuje dotazníkové šetření mezi řediteli a pedagogy mateřských škol, výsledky dotazníkového šetření, dva příběhy dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami ve třídě z praxe a na závěr návrh na řešení bariér společného vzdělávání v mateřské škole. Education system in the Czech republic and in Kingdom of Spain

The aim of the thesis is to compare the educational systems of two European states with different state institutions, history and current political-historical situation. The work will be of comparative character and will be based mainly on the work with the studied literature. The work will use both Czech and Spanish literature. The main benchmarking tool will be the International Standard Classification of Education at ISCED 2011. In the practical part, this classification will be applied to both education systems, and at the end of each level of education there will be comparisons. The result will be a simultaneous evaluation and comparison of the education system of the Kingdom of Spain and the Czech Republic.
